Eastern Washington State

Boats of every shape and size can be found docked in the harbor. My personal favorite is the expensive yacht in the second picture. In my life-time I'll probably never make as much as it's worth. But that's okay, it's just stuff, right? Can't take it with you.

There are a number of nice condos near by. In the foreground they are in the process of building more.

In the parking lot they have on display the strangest contraptions. While obviously performing some important function years past as indicated by their antiquated design, today they are like side-show freaks from a Tim Burton movie.

I soon depart Roche Harbor and once again enjoy the scenery whizz by as I bike up and down a number of rollers. For those folks not fully fluent in the language of biking, rollers is a biking term meaning small hills that come in rapid succession. You roll up and down them without too much effort or strain.

So on I peddle. In the distance and quickly approaching is of all things a little lemonade stand attended by Christine and Ingrid. From a country roadside they are selling regular lemonade and cookies this afternoon, their second day of selling. I make their acquaintence and quickly purchase and down a tall glass of lemonade, it really hits the spot.
