Adirondack State Park Upstate New York
It is near here on my 4th and last run that I choose to only ride Burton's Boulevard for a short stretch. I then cut over to the first section of Stag Brook Junction and really make a mess of things.
Here the trail is not so steep, providing a bit of rest for me. I notice my rear wheel is now rubbing on my frame so I dismount to investigate.
As I check my bike I hear someone coming down Stag Brook Junction. I quickly move out of the way because I'm standing right where the trail comes out of the woods. Darren soon springs out of the woods and upon seeing my bike troubleshooting efforts he stops and generously offers his assistance. We talk for a little while and in the process I find and fix my bike's minor problem. He is soon off, storming down the hill at a high rate of speed and I soon follow.
Burton's Boulevard turns into the lower section of Stag Brook Junction which takes me over a small stream.
