Central Maine Coast
Not wanting to ride Route-3 because it's a little too busy for my tastes, I look for any escape route to a less busy road. Luckily, as I cross a bridge that passes over Schooner Head Road, I spy a short steep path that'll take me down to the road below.
My route takes me through cool, shady forest. Unfortunately, in short order the scenery turns rather dull and lackluster, it's all new-growth and it all looks the same. Soon I hope to break free of this monotony into the warm sunshine, it's getting somewhat chilly under this forest canopy.
To bust out into the sunshine and spice things up a bit, I take a quick sideleg out to Otter Cove. It proves to be a rather sleepy, peaceful place.
Back on task again, I head northward to Jordan Pond.
