Near the top of the climb I get a glimpse of Jordan Pond.
More uphill slogging then.
WHAM-O! I get an eye-full of Jordan Pond.
The horses here don't only pull carriages, they also haul people around on their backs as well.
Here's a sampling of the park's rustic stonework. The story goes that over time the stonecutters grew so precise at their craft that they were told to dumb-down their cutting to maintain the rustic flavor desired by the designers.
