Acadia National Park Central Maine Coast
I start making my way down, and at some points I reach white-knuckle speed which really pumps up my adrenaline. It's somewhat fun and somewhat deranged to be riding on a loose stone surface at high speeds. You just never know when the bike may go out from underneath you. I guess I'm riding near the edge of my capabilities one could say. Yeeee Haaawww!
Another rustic bridge.
After a little more riding the forest canopy breaks and I get a little looksee across the way.
I'm now getting the impression, based on the direction I'm currently heading, that I may have taken the wrong turn earlier. I eventually see a sign that indeed verifies I've goofed-up. Unfortunately, the penalty is severe, I have to backtrack uphill. Rats!
Having almost run out of steam, I celebrate when I finally arrive back at Jordan Pond. The Jordan Pond Gate Lodge never looked better.
