The rally has caught the attention of the local media. I'm sure protests like this one are commonplace in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Grabbing a picture of the U.S. Capitol again, for like the millionth time, I finally realize that this is the "front" of the building. Earlier, on the other side of the building, when I was back at the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, I thought views of the building were that of the front of the building. D-uh! Standing atop the dome, I couldn't reconcile why the front of the statue was facing away from me. Now I know why.


Next to the U.S. Supreme Court you'll find the Library of Congress. Housed within the Thomas Jefferson Building, this architectural wonder was once called "the most beautiful public building in America". Completed in 1897, the building is home to 130 million separate items, together filling some 530 miles of bookshelves. Needless to say, it's the world's largest library.
