Linclon didn't die in the theater, rather, he died the following morning across the street in this house, the Petersen's Boarding House.

Near Ford's Theater there's a bit of construction going on. By the looks if it, they're trying to save a staggered series of wall sections, for historical purposes I suppose. Probably for marketing reasons too, I'm sure. Strange, never in my life have I seen such a wall-holding contraption!

On my way back to the National Mall, I pass by the Internal Revenue Service. One of the world's most efficient tax administrators, annually they process more than 224 million tax returns and shovel in more than $2,000,000,000,000.00 a year. Yes, that's right folks, there are 12, count'em, 12 zeros to the left of the decimal point! The IRS mission statement states: "Provide America's taxpayers top quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and by applying the tax law with integrity and fairness to all."

Translation: Pay up or go to jail.

Heck, the IRS says they want to help me meet my tax responsibility? Well, how about giving me a loan to help me pay my taxes, or better yet, forgive my tax debt. Yeah, that would be good, I'd be on board with that!

The sun has just set and the moon has now taken its place as the premier sight in the heavens above. It's a good thing my touring day is over, my feet are really killing me. I didn't make it all the way around the National Mall like I had hoped to, I just made it a little more than half way. Well, the time has arrived to head back to the van. I take the train back then decide to do my laundry at the laundromat across from where I parked the van. How convenient!

After completing my laundry, I drive back to the Walmart in Laurel, MD and settle in for the night, dining on a meal from McDonalds while working on the website. For as skinny as I am, God, I'm getting fat from eating too much fast food. My evening eventually winds down and I hit the hay. I'm not sure if I'll tour tomorrow, I've feeling pretty drained right now, maybe tomorrow will be a day of rest for me. My feet will certainly thank me for it.
