Not only is this dude dentally-challenged, he also owns a pet that has a political axe to grind. Easy there Rex, soon you'll have the FBI, CIA, and the NSA on your back. Or maybe it was scrawled by a terrorist commuter who doesn't approve of President Bush? Hmmm, hard to say.

After about a 20 minute train ride, mass transit spits me out at Smithsonian Station, which is conveniently located on the National Mall, where at opposite ends I spy both the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol Building.

Nearby I see a discarded apartment rental guide. Curious about what it costs to rent here in the Capitol, I take a looksee. Yikes! A 2 bedroom apartment will run you between $1,900 and $2,175! Well, it says it has Old World Elegance, so I guess it must be worth every penny, right?

Ya need a cup-o-joe? The National Mall has got ya covered.

Here's two good shots of the Smithsonian Castle. What a pretty sight. On Monday I toured its museum. Hey, that's Joseph Henry atop the pedestal out front.

Okay, time to pick up where I left off two days ago. Today the plan is to complete my outside tour of the National Mall, then take in all of the war and presidential memorials that are located west of the Mall. Anything else I see along the way I'll try to visit as well. If you missed my first day of touring that covered a heaping portion of the Mall, no worries, just click here to get the full skinny.
