As I head south into Boston on I-93 the city grows larger with each passing mile. Compared to other cities within United States, many of which are bastions of uncontrolled sprawl, Boston is quite compact and easy to get around in. I plan on doing all my touring today on foot. I'll be concentrating my sightseeing efforts within the historic district that's located smack-dab in city center.
I cross over the Charlestown Memorial Bridge. It's has an interesting, modern looking to it.
After crossing the bridge I go underground for a bit.
