Quincy Market

Quincy Market is quite impressive, and in modern terms, it's basically a huge foodcourt with seating.

Faneuil Hall

The first level of Faneuil Hall is a huge indoor market. Taking two years to complete, the original structure was finished in 1742 and provided ample space for a public market and meeting hall. The version you see today is a replacement of the original two-story structure which burned to the ground in 1761. Rebuilt in 1763 to its current four-story configuration, it was used so frequently by the American Patriots that it was quickly dubbed the "Cradle of American Liberty."

The evening finally arrives and I'm forced to conclude my historical sightseeing. I've only scratched the surface in my touring, a person could easily spend days here in Boston just looking around. There's so much to see and do.

As night takes hold, I witness a spectacular fireworks display. Not knowing what's going on, I ask around and soon find out what all the hubbub is all about. Tonight is the last game in a 7-game baseball series. The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees go head-to-head tonight in New York, both will fight tooth and nail to win the American League Pennant.
