This poor cactus got really spanked with a horse pile. I'm a bit surprised it's still alive. That much fertilizer can't be a good thing. You know what? I've just learned something, horses don't know a damn thing about horticulture.

As I climb the clouds overhead start to turn dark and ominous. I want to climb all the way to the top but hear rumbles of thunder so I stop climbing and ready myself for a flurry of picture taking.

Looking down at the van, it seems really far away. If it's going to downpour I'm going to get soaked, or worse yet, hit by lightening, or God forbid, step in poop in my rush to get down the hill.

Here's the vista I worked for, paid with hill climbing sweat and horse manure danger. "Thank you" you say? You are most welcome.

As I descend the hill I start to wonder, what is the range on the van's alarm system? So I give it a test, push the red panic button, and to my surprise the alarm goes off.
