Carlsbad, New Mexico

I'm now standing in the midst of Walnut Canyon, how exciting, well, kinda... okay, it's not very exciting. But, read on, and learn about the three epochs that shaped this place.

The splendor of Walnut Canyon. Wow, I think I've seen it all, no need to venture down below within the caves, time to leave the park, I can't imagine anything topping this beautiful scenery.

Hey, there's my van and the desert again. Or is it my van, the desert, and the road. Or is it the van, the deser.... okay, better not push it, I risk losing my readers. Please disregard this entry.

Hey, hey, hey, I've finally reached the Visitor Center.

One last look at the surrounding terrain before I... oh, it's so beautiful, do you think I should bother seeing the caves? Oh, all right, I'll do it just for you. You owe me.

Sorry, one last peek at some nearby plants. They're just so odd to me, not the kind of vegetation I'm familiar with, having spent very little time in the desert.
