I'm now close to freezing to death! Will someone please shoot me? Or better yet, give me a hot cocoa?

Looks like things are finally looking up for me. Fortune quickly descends upon me and I meet Laura and Jonathan. Their warm, friendly manner warms my cold, semi-frozen spirit.

We all start hiking together to the summit. They are fun to talk to, so much so it takes my mind off the chilly weather.

In quick order we all make it to the summit. The views are quite spectacular.

After taking our pictures at the top, I bid Laura and Jonathan a fond farewell. Before departing I give them my contact information. Residing in Cape Cod, they both invite me to come visit them when I pass through their neck of the woods. Fast forward, I never did hear from them. Too bad. Maybe I should have asked for their contact information but I didn't want to be pushy, they didn't offer. It would have been fun seeing them again. Oh well. Like so many of my acquaintances on my trip, you feel an immediate connection with people but for whatever reason it often quickly fades. Such is life.
