C A D I L L A C M O U N T A I N
Acadia National Park Central Maine Coast
I backtrack down to the last encountered signpost then resume my hike up the main trail.
Fungus sprouting trees pass me by from time to time.
Soon I pass by another signpost telling me the peak of Cadillac Mountain is only 2 miles away.
Up until now the hike has been in forest but soon it begins to thin out as I make my way up the mountain.
The views are all around me now but they come at a price. It's darn-right chilly now that I'm exposed to all the elements up here. The wind is doing its best to make my hike a teeth-chattering experience so I quickly put on my windbreaker to counteract its bone-chilling effects.
