I know, I know, the pictures are lousy. Regardless, following the same order as in the placard, going left to right, top to bottom, we have 1) Mirror Lake / Lake Placid, 2) Ski Jumps, 3) Algonquin Mt, 4) Mt Colden, 5) Mt VanHovenburh, 6) Mt Marcy, 7) Haystack Mt, 8) Basin Mt, 9) Saddleback Mt, 10) Gothics Mt, 11) Nippletop Mt, 12) Dix Mt, 13) Giant Mt, 14) Hurricane Mt.

Here's a good view of the ski resort. In the first picture you can see the gondola base station just to the right of the large ski lodge. The second picture is the top of the gondola and over to the far right you'll see the wide observation deck which provides an unobstructed view of Lake Placid. The last picture is my scrape received while riding my mountain bike down the resort's ski trails 4 days prior. It has managed to scab over pretty well.

Well it is time to head back down the mountain. On my way back to the shelter house to take the elevator down, I notice this guy carrying around his dog. The owner tells me the dog is 14 years old, is too old to walk, and suffers from cancer. It's a sad sight, but at least the dog is getting out and about, thanks to its loving owner.
