On top of the shelter house is a viewing platform. Unfortunately, general public access to this platform is not permitted.
The temperature is a chilly 52 degrees Fahrenheit. Good thing it isn't too windy and the sun is out.
The shelter house supports a stone observation patio that wraps around the building.

Turning my attention to the wonderful surrounding views, I notice there are markers to help the directionally challenged. Additionally, the metered binoculars have placards indicating where to look for the surrounding sights.
