Houston, Texas

Wow, there's a bunch of spacesuits on display, here's the first. These flight coveralls are similar to the ones worn by Sally Ride, the first American woman in space.

This spacesuit was worn by Charles "Pete" Conrad, the third man to walk on the Moon during the Apollo 12 Mission. See the dark, power-like substance on the legs of the spacesuit? Yup, that's Moon dust.

Here's the spacesuit worn by Donald "Deke" Slayton. He was the fourth American astronaut to be given the nod to travel in space, however, he was grounded just weeks before departure with an irregular heartbeat. Fortunately, he never gave up on his dream of space travel. Persistence paid off years later when he was selected to participate in the historic Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. This is the suit he wore on that historic mission.

This is the actual ejection escape suit worn by John Young while commanding the maiden voyage of the Space Shuttle in 1981. Young is no stranger to space, for he is the only astronaut to have flown two missions within each of the Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle Programs.

Here's an example of a futuristic suit that NASA is developing.
