Now here is a change of pace, some dead trees. There probably used to be a swamp in there. That's usually the culprit whenever you see a patch of dead trees on level ground.

I tackle one of the longest hills of the route. There's more of it around the bend, the picture only shows the beginning of it. It's unfortunate how a picture of a hill fails to show just how steep it really is. Trust me, it's a grinder.

I make it to the top but the hill collects its toll on me. Luckily I'm still feeling pretty good inspite of how I look, I still had plenty of money... er ...energy left to spare.

Just 5 miles to go to Tupper Lake.
