Top 40 Billboard pop hits? 104! Top 10 Billboard hits? 38! Number 1 Billboard hits? 18!

US standard for a gold record? 500,000 copies sold. US standard for a platinum record? 1,000,000 copies sold.

Only the Beatles have more number 1 Billboard hits at 20, just 2 more than Elvis. Elvis has spent a total of 79 weeks in the number 1 position, his closest competitor is Mariah Carey with 73 weeks.

March 1956 to November 1959 represented a most productive time for Elvis, where every week there was at least one Elvis song on the singles chart.

Need I say more? I may not know how many gold and platinum records are on display here, but I do know that Elvis was a pretty amazing guy. Musically he was a genius! Prior to visiting Graceland, I really didn't know much about him. The more I learn during my visit, the more of a fan I'm becoming.
