Memphis, Tennessee

Back at the tourist complex and hungry as a horse from all my touring, I grab me some grub. The food here is really quite tasty and reasonably priced!

Outside the restaurant I see this old car on display. It's part of the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. Looking under the car I get a chuckle, I notice it's suspended on wooden blocks and is chained to the concrete block atop which it sits. Once painted pink and used as a salad bar, this 1957 Cadillac Seville is now tasked with marking the entrance to the museum. Based on the car's sordid history, is chaining it down really necessary?

Here's the entrance to the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. Too bad, I don't have time to check out his extensive car collection. I guess I have an excuse to come back to Graceland if I ever find myself traveling through Memphis, TN again.

Before I leave Graceland, I wish to check out all the fan graffiti on the estate's stone and brick wall that runs across the front of the complex. To get there, I have to run across the busy 4-lane street. I now understand why they use shuttle buses to move people back and forth across the street, the crossing is rather dangerous.
